Development
1. May 1978 Tianjin Automotive Research Institute was established officially;
2. 1984 The 46th Quality Supervision and Inspection Station of Tianjin Standard Bureau, the standard center station of Tianjin Auto Industry Company and Tianjin Institute of Quality Supervision and Inspection of Cars, China were established in Tianjin Automotive Research Institute;
3. August 27, 1997 Tianjin Xiali Automobile Co., Ltd. was established, and Tianjin Automotive Research Institute was named Product Development Center of Tianjin Xiali Automobile Co., Ltd.;
4. December 19, 1997 “Tianjin Institute of Quality Supervision, Inspection, Appraisal and Test of Cars” was certified by the Automotive Department of the Ministry of Machinery Building;
5. February 16, 1998 The State Bureau of Technical Supervision recognized Tianjin Automotive Research Institute as “Tianjin Institute of Quality Supervision, Inspection, Appraisal and Test of Cars”;
6. January 8, 2002, Tianjin Automotive Research Institute was recognized as a national-level enterprise technical center;
7. June 14, 2002 Tianjin Auto Group and FAW Group entered into an agreement on their combination at the Great Hall of the People, according to it, Product Development Center of Tianjin Xiali Automobile Co., Ltd. was renamed Product Development Center of Tianjin FAW Xiali Automobile Co., Ltd. and reserved the functions of the fomer Tianjin Automotive Research Institute.
8. 2005 Vita with independent intellectual rights was exhibited at the Shanghai International Automobile Exhibition and the China Changchun International Automobile Fair.
