Tianjin FAW XIALI Automobile Co., Ltd. is a manufacturer of economical passenger cars controlled by China FAW Group. It is a listed company engaging in automobile manufacturing, engine and transmission production, sales and research & development.
The predecessor of this company was Tianjin Micro-Car Factory. And it was transformed into Tianjin Automobile XIALI Co., Ltd. in 1997, which was listed in Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 1999. On June 14, 2002, FAW Group and TianQi Group signed the reorganization agreement that TianQi Group assigned FAW Group its original 50.98% stocks of Tianjin Automobile XIALI Co., Ltd. and then FAW Group had the holding right to it. The enterprise formally enters into the FAW system, so Tianjin FAW XIALI Automobile Co., Ltd. gets its name.
At present, the company owns production lines of pressing, auto body, coating and assembling, overall quality inspection line, production line of auto engine casting and machining, production line of transmission, computer workstation and production development & testing lab at domestic advanced levels. It mainly produces cars of XIALI, VIZI, VELA and FAW VITA series. Its competitive products also include Tiannei Brand series of auto engine and Tianchi Brand transmission. As the cradle of China economical passenger cars, our company, caring about national conditions and people’s needs, always insisting on the independent development road, firmly implementing independent innovation strategy and developing and manufacturing the car that the Chinese household can afford its use, has successfully created a growing path of “introduction, absorption and re-creation” for more than twenty years. Its total sales amount has been over 1.8 million cars. The company has continuously won the sale champion of independent brand cars for 22 years. Its products are sold to such countries as Mexico, Russia, Iran, Syria, Algeria, Ecuador, etc.
During the Eleventh Five-Year Plan period, we will hold the development intention of “manufacturing high-quality cars, being a great car manufacturer and building a harmonious enterprise” and present nine styles of new cars to form the economical passenger car product pattern of “international competition and domestic leadership”. We will create the “core competitive power of developing, manufacturing and selling the economical passenger cars of the highest quality with the most economical methods and the quickest speed” and challenge the target of producing and selling 0.4 million cars.
